The Pharmacy Technician II assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers
- Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions
- Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TSBP Registration
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience Or Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
- Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with customer to handle complains and problems
- Demonstrated ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions
- Math cash handling - demonstrated ability to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report
- Demonstrated ability of 20 WPM typing speed
- Proven stress tolerance - to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment
- Proven physical Stamina - to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- PTCB Certification
- HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care experience
- Proven 10 key by touch skills
- Demonstrated ability to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
