Peoples Rx is looking for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician or registered Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our North Lamar team.

Important: Applicants must already hold an active Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) registration as either a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee to be considered.

Requirements:

Must have active TSBP Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee license

Must reside in the greater Austin area (in-person role, variable locations)

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong data entry skills with accuracy and efficiency

Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology

6 months to 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Able to lift up to 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods (typically up to 8 hours)
Key Responsibilities:

Process and verify prescription orders (written/electronic)

Accurately input prescription data into pharmacy software

Answer phones and assist patients with questions

Contact providers for prescription clarifications and refill authorizations

Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues

Support pharmacists with packaging and labeling medications

Help maintain inventory and place medication orders when directed

Skills Required
