PRN: Hours may vary from day shift (6:15 am-2:45 pm) to second shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) and weekends
General Summary
Performs the professional functions associated with the practice of pharmacy.
This is an intern position for students in school to be a Pharmacist. Mostly working in the summer months and on their breaks.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignments according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and protocols.
- Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
- Additional responsibilities may include, providing drug information, drug therapy monitoring and medication use reviews.

- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Must be a student attending an APCE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Required
Courses and Training:
- Must be a student attending an APCE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills (oral & written).
