Summary:
In this role, your primary focus will be partnering with client hospitals, supported by collaboration with internal Vizient teams to advance our Pharmacy Enterprise Solutions. You will engage hospital executives, clinicians, and pharmacy leaders to identify and implement opportunities that drive financial improvement, operational excellence, and better patient outcomes. You will translate insights into actionable strategies, develop new consulting solutions, and support implementation to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities:
Partner with clients to design and implement pharmacy initiatives that enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable cost savings.
Conduct assessments of pharmacy and medication-management programs across health systems, infusion centers, ambulatory settings, and affiliated clinics, and provide evidence-based recommendations grounded in regulatory standards, data analysis, and leading practices.
Incorporate industry leading practices and benchmark comparisons to develop strategic operating plans that enhance value, efficiency, and service excellence.
Develop detailed project work plans and deliver hands-on implementation support to achieve defined objectives.
Support consulting practice activities through the development, launch, and implementation of new or enhanced services, products and solutions.
Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree (e.g. PharmD, BSPharm) required..
5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Pharmacy license required.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Effective leadership, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Experience in healthcare system pharmacy strongly preferred.
Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
Experience in delivering consulting services in healthcare or pharmacy settings preferred.
Experience managing, optimizing, or supporting 340B programs preferred.
Proven leadership strength with effective presentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
