Optum Specialty Select Support Pharmacy Care Coordinator is a senior level position which is a hybrid of three critical components: Client Service Management, Pharmacy Operations, and Patient Care. Select Support takes a hands-on approach to patient care that makes a meaningful imprint on the health and quality of life of each patient by providing white-glove service to our patients and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with clients and sales team members and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery for one or more accounts
- Research pharmacy claims and member inquiries
- Provide operational and administrative support to clients to help ensure superior account management with focus on client retention/satisfaction
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet internal and client deliverable timelines
- Actively participate on client calls, interdepartmental calls, and team meetings, as applicable
- Oversee and operationally process all patient prescriptions from the designated client including benefits investigation, prior authorization completion, and prescription delivery scheduling
- Collaborate with other departments outside of Select to meet all prescription processing oversight requirements when needed
- Collaborate within Select to facilitate group coverage of team member clients when needed
- Act as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact and large or complex accounts
- Represent client internally and coordinates with Select management and Optum Sales team to implement client systems, honor provider communication preferences, and address ongoing service needs
- Follow all policies and procedures related to job responsibilities and participating in the training of departmental policies and procedures, documentation, and tools for client management, as appropriate
- Respond to client inquiries (via mailbox or task system) and assure all inquiries are directed and responded to within service level guarantees
- Escalate client concerns when appropriate in a clear and effective manner

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and e-mail communication
- Ability to work full-time with open availability between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM CT
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmacy or healthcare
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Leadership or management experience
- Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician license, if required by state law
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) current and in good standing
Soft Skills:
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work in multiple processing systems throughout the day
- Superior customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak and write clearly and concisely to individuals or groups

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
