In this role, you will accurately process customer bills and insurance claims, assist with daily and month-end billing activities, answer questions, resolve billing issues, and help collect outstanding balances. You will work directly with patients, caregivers, medical providers, and insurance carriers.
What we're looking for:
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Experience with claims adjudication and an understanding of how insurance works
Healthcare experience; pharmacy experience is helpful but not required
Collections experience or a willingness to make collection calls
Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Comfort navigating multiple computer systems while assisting customers by phone
A dependable, team-oriented approach and commitment to excellent customer service
Schedule and work arrangement:
Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
This position will begin onsite and may become hybrid or fully remote based on demonstrated performance.
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Skills and Qualifications:
One or more years of related experience.
Advanced computer skills required. Experience with pharmacy information systems is preferred.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Quality-focused and motivated to identify errors and investigate inaccuracies.
