Woodmark Pharmacy of Connecticut is currently seeking a responsible and customer-service oriented Staff Pharmacist. New graduates are welcome to apply! This is a Full Time position with the availability to work the Second shift to join our team.

Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Must be able to meet schedule requirements. Rotating weekends but there is flexibility. 

Responsibilities
  • Applies the principles of pharmaceutical care to ensure optimum medication-related patient outcomes.
  • Coordinates the distribution of medications to patients.
  • Participates, proactively, in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree with additional knowledge and/or Certification in geriatrics preferred
  • Excellent clinical, organization, interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to provide high quality pharmaceutical care
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a clinical pharmacy practice with at least one year of long term care pharmacy practice preferred
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable nursing home regulations and guidance
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook 
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Skills Required

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Excellent clinical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality pharmaceutical care
  • Two to three years of clinical pharmacy practice experience, including at least one year in long-term care pharmacy
  • Knowledge of applicable nursing home regulations and guidance
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Intermediate or advanced English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills
  • Geriatrics knowledge or certification
  • Availability for the 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. second shift and rotating weekends
