Position Overview
The Pharmacist will provide inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy management while maintaining compliance with military healthcare regulations and pharmacy best practices. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate medication orders for accuracy, safety, and therapeutic appropriateness
• Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and dosing concerns
• Collaborate with prescribers to resolve medication-related issues
• Verify medications prepared and processed by pharmacy staff
• Dispense medications and perform sterile compounding in accordance with regulatory standards
• Counsel patients and families on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including controlled substances
• Ensure compliance with federal, military, and pharmacy regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy program development
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and training activities

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited program
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory
• Minimum of three (3) years of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy experience, including: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical/Surgical Units, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatrics, and Sterile Compounding
• At least one (1) year of pharmacist experience within the past two (2) years
• Ability to meet all federal and military credentialing requirements prior to start
• Strong clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge
• Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Strong time management and multitasking capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
