Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Ampla Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations and deliver patient-centered care with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and community impact. The PIC ensures daily pharmacy functions align with federal and state regulations while supporting integrated care alongside healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, EPA, and CSA regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and reporting of medications, including controlled substances
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff and ensure effective, secure pharmacy workflows
- Provide immunizations, medication counseling, and patient education
- Implement and manage programs based on community health needs
- Maintain patient confidentiality and secure documentation systems
- Serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and healthcare teams
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist License in California
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacy laws, inventory management, and compliance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; English proficiency required
- Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation
