Role Overview
Our client, a leading global Consumer Healthcare company, is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join their field team in Ivory Coast.
This role is ideal for a science-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of healthcare professional (HCP) engagement, digital detailing, and territory management, who is passionate about promoting high-quality therapeutic solutions that positively impact patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HCP awareness, advocacy, and recommendation of key consumer healthcare brands. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting high-quality detailing sessions with HCPs, presenting clinical data and therapeutic value.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with HCPs within the assigned territory.
- Recruiting HCPs onto digital platforms and supporting digital engagement initiatives.
- Leveraging multiple engagement channels, including face-to-face, remote calls, email, and webinars.
- Guiding HCPs in the use of patient communication tools and available digital resources.
- Promoting and encouraging participation in Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities.
- Ensuring consistent in-call quality and monitoring expert performance metrics.
- Distributing medical samples in line with compliance standards to support patient trials and product adoption.
- Tracking, monitoring, and achieving KPIs such as AWR, BRMO, and SoR.
- Achieving or exceeding territory sales targets.
- Providing timely market feedback, insights, and competitor intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Organising and supporting scientific, educational, and promotional events.
- Upholding all ethical, compliance, and professional standards as a representative of the field force.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related healthcare commercial role.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English and French (verbal communication essential).
- Proficiency in digital tools and CRM systems (e.g. Veeva or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and KPIs.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organisational capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical industry compliance and ethical standards.

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Must be based in Ivory Coast with the legal right to work in Ivory Coast.
