What you will do:

The PGIM Global Wealth Technology division is seeking a Lead Software Engineer role experienced with full-stack application development. The successful candidate will work with a highly performing and diverse team that supports PGIM Global Wealth’s Strategic Investment Research and Portfolio Trading Business including portfolio management functions, operations and research analytics. This role requires solid understanding of market data, data flows along with technical skills to lead enterprise applications development and support involving relational databases, web technologies and using modern tools for reporting & analytics.

This role will work alongside the Product Owners, Business Analysts, Stakeholders and other Engineers to develop new web projects, enhancements and find sound solutions for Trading and Research applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop  .Net/SQL Server web-based applications along with third party software integration.
  • Modernizing with future-ready scalable designs while supporting legacy platforms
  • Guiding teams on software standards and conducting code reviews.
  • Working with stakeholders to convert complex business requirements into deliverables.
  • Providing production support as needed.
  • Collaborating with business and various functional and technology teams

What you will bring
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
•    8+ years’ experience in full-stack web development
•    Azure certifications a plus

Technical Skills:

  • .NET Framework/Core:
    • High proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
    • Experience with ASP.NET, MVC and Web APIs.
    • Knowledge of Entity Framework.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI
  • Database:
    • Experience with MS SQL Server or other relational databases.
    • Ability to design database tables, write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
    • Experience with Fabric Medallion architecture
  • Front-End Development:
    • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
    • Experience with React/Angular
  • Version Control:
    • Proficiency with TFS, Git and Git workflows.
    • Experience with branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Build and Deployment:
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. TFS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
    • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.    
  • Architecture and Design:
  • Experience with relational database design, microservices architecture and API.
  • Windows and Web application Security eg Active Directory etc.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices.
  • Cloud Services:
    • Familiarity with Azure cloud platform.
    • Experience with deploying and managing applications in the cloud.

    • Able to manage Business stakeholders on product scope and timelines.
    • Hyper-focused on details, and the accuracy, and quality of deliverables.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
    • Adapt your working hours to support critical, time-sensitive processes as needed, in line with the hybrid work policy.
  • Teamwork:
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $135,000 to $170,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
