Job Summary:
The Imaging Aide works with and provides assistance to all hospital based departments of Imaging Services. Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor and the Manager, Diagnostic Radiology performs a wide variety of duties relating to clerical duty and patient care tasks. Incumbent must be able to safely and efficiently carry out assigned patient care tasks, check supplies, equipment and provide general assistance to department as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review charts for physician orders, previous reports & imaging
- Clean and stock the rooms.
- Transport patients back and forth from departments
- Promptly and efficiently answers the phones.
- Take accurate message
- Maintain patient orders to ensure proper exam/diagnosis/physician requirements are being met. Coordinate with techs/Supervisors for appropriate charges
- Burns CDs for patients following medical release procedures
- Use RHIO/Healtheconnections to obtain reports and imaging if needed
- Maintain a clean and neat work area
- Review all stock for outdated/expired items monthly
- Schedule all PET and NM exams
- Coordinate with offices for order updates if needed.
- Put work/supply orders in as needed for the department.
- Be able to take instruction/direction from various modalities.
- Miscellaneous duties as they arise.
- Must have great patient skills and ability to follow HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Calling patients as needed for Radiology exams to include PET and Nuclear Medicine
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 1 year as a CT Scan Aide (Preferred)

Skills Required

- Experience using RHIO / HealtheConnections or similar image/report retrieval systems
- Ability to schedule PET and Nuclear Medicine exams and coordinate orders
- Phone triage and accurate message-taking; CD burning per medical release procedures
