Position Overview

Crossroads is seeking full-time Personnel Assistant-I to provide military HR support services within the Military Personnel Division at Fort Knox, KY.

Primary Duties:

· Performs as HR specialist within military HR work centers that may include Personnel Records, Automation Support, In & Out Processing, DEERS/Identification Card Management, Soldier Readiness Processing, Soldier Actions, Reassignment Processing, Transition and Retirement Services.

· Publicly address large groups of Soldiers.

· Protect privacy, administer training, and ensure policy and procedure compliance.

· Interact via phone, email and in person with customers from the military, their family and other entitled persons of Department of Defense (DoD) association, including contractors and their affiliates.

· Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· Ability to work effectively with others and acts professionally in an office environment.

· Ability to interact with and utilize database and associated record keeping systems.

· Ability to operate in a Windows environment with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel and Internet Explorer.

· Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and varying levels of understanding.

· Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills both in person and by telephone, and to work effectively as a team member.

· Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a high volume fast paced environment.

· Ability to interpret applicable military regulations, policies, and directives.

Education:

· High School Diploma/GED required.

· Associate’s degree preferred.

Background Investigation:

· Tier 1 or equivalent.
