Job Summary:

The Personal Lines Sales Team Lead supports new business production and provides leadership toward account executive development to achieve company goals. Develops and defines best practices for new business and evaluates sales performance to recommend strategies for performance improvements. Resolve local issues and ensure all escalated issues are closed. This position will coach. Mentor, team members with the execution of daily operations by helping to review training, individual/team mentoring and performance reviews of the department.  

Essential Functions:

  • Support new business production by establishing and monitoring sales objectives.
  • Establish, sustainable, attainable, and measurable new business sales goals for each team member.
  • Develop sales strategies, feedback, design of marketing materials, and marketing plan support.
  • Schedule and perform ongoing tracking, monitoring, and sharing of sales data and metrics.
  • Develop and define best practices for new business sales.
  • Review historical sales by month, by team member, size and type of policies.
  • Determine and communicate closing ratio expectations and opportunities for improvement/
  • Remain up to date on industry changes and carrier guidelines.
  • Establish and monitor workflow processes and management system utilization.
  • Point of contact for elevated customer queries, including mediating disputes as necessary.
  • Provide training and development to sales team members.
  • Determine and outline goals needed to meet personal and career expectations to meet company goals.
  • Identify and improve how new business opportunities are assessed, including cross-sell opportunities.
  • Oversee/observe sales skills and talking points to gain an understanding of client risk tolerance.
  • Properly assess varying, personal lines risk types and scenarios.
  • Determine and communicate how to provide the most adequate, available solution for the clients’ needs.
  • Educate and guide team members to workflows and sales procedures.
  • Train on how to successfully complete applications, submissions, and attention to detail; monitor and evaluate processes are followed correctly.
  • Must reside in the state of Florida & willing to travel statewide as needed.

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Ability to organize training initiatives for department within the
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple company initiatives and encourage team to do the same.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ) and Office 365
  • Advanced in insurance agency management software (EPIC)
  • Instructional experience in a group business setting
  • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
  • Ability to analyze company needs, employee development and goal
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other

Education & Experience:

  • Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree in management or relevant field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a sales management role,
  • 10+ years’ experience in insurance, required.
