Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and outgoing Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of personal lines insurance, a client-first mindset, and the ability to provide responsive, high-quality service. The right candidate will bring positive energy, professionalism, and a passion for supporting client insurance needs while thriving in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to one of our offices located in Cheshire, CT, Enfield, CT Kingston, NY, or Waterford, CT

Professional Responsibilities

  • Market client accounts to negotiate and secure the most appropriate insurance coverage for both new and renewal business.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, responding to inquiries, explaining coverages and premiums, and facilitating claims between clients and adjusters.
  • Maintain strong carrier relationships to obtain quotes, binders, endorsements, and related documents.
  • Research and resolve moderate to complex service issues, including coverage questions and billing discrepancies, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure account accuracy by maintaining up-to-date policy information in the agency management system, reviewing policies/endorsements, and handling contract and certificate compliance requests.
  • Stay current on industry developments, including carrier underwriting appetites and pricing trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in personal lines account management.
  • Active Property & Casualty license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solutions-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
