Position Overview: We are seeking a client-focused and detail-oriented Personal Lines Account Manager to support the day-to-day servicing of personal insurance accounts. This role is responsible for handling client inquiries, processing policy changes, supporting claims, and maintaining accurate account documentation. The ideal candidate is responsive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in supporting client retention, strengthening relationships, and delivering a seamless client experience.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Bohemia, NY.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely and professional support by phone, email, and in person.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and new business transactions accurately and in accordance with carrier guidelines.
  • Assist clients with claims by facilitating submissions, providing updates, and coordinating with adjusters and insurance carriers.
  • Maintain accurate client records, policy documentation, and account activity within the agency management system.
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding policy updates, billing questions, coverage details, and service requests.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Producers, underwriting teams, carriers, and internal team members to resolve client issues and support service needs.
  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention, satisfaction, and overall account success.
  • Stay informed on personal lines insurance products, carrier guidelines, coverage changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing Personal Lines insurance accounts.
  • Active New York Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with policy servicing, quoting, renewals, endorsements, or claims handling in a Personal Lines environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Applied Epic experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to delivering high-quality client service.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
