Description:
Position Purpose
Under limited supervision of the Chief Perfusionist and operating surgeon, sets up, operates, and manages complex technical life support equipment required for patients undergoing open heart surgery and ECMO.
What you will do
· Investigates and evaluates new technologies for improved quality and increased efficiency. Position may require working at either campus or alternate sites.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education: B.S. in sciences; graduate of an accredited perfusion school.
· Licensure: ABCP certified or certification eligible, AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification, CT state license or eligible if new graduate.
· Certification: BLS required; 1-year clinical experience or new graduate with a minimum of 50 cases. Test must be passed within two test cycles after 50 cases are completed.
