• Participation in call rotation.

• Evenings and weekend availability required when on call

• Evaluate cardiopulmonary status and other relative factors of patients in order to determine appropriate plan.

• Formulate a case plan by identifying pathophysiological problems associated with the patient.

• Adapt to changes in patient’s status and formulates plan of action.

• Document assessments on operative record.

• Communicate assessment with all persons involved in patient’s care.

• Prepare operating room and cardiopulmonary bypass machine for the surgical procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science from an accredited college or university - Required.

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Perfusion - Preferred.

• Current and valid Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) - Required or must be obtained within 1 year.

• Basic Life Support (BLS)- Required
