JOB OVERVIEW

Operative is looking at well-rounded performance test engineer with minimum 3+yrs of experience in performance testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in performance testing of microservices deployed on the AWS platform.
• Proficient in using performance testing tools such as JMeter and K6, or BlazeMeter.
• In-depth understanding of AWS technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and AWS-native monitoring tools like CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with containerised environments, particularly Kubernetes.
• Skilled in reading MongoDB Atlas metrics, Redis performance bottlenecks and aware of best practices on performance optimisation.
• Solid experience with monitoring tools like New Relic and AWS CloudWatch for performance analysis.
• Basic DevOps skills with experience in automation of test environment restores and maintenance , Jenkins CI/CD setup 
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems, including service tracing, gateways, load balancers, and ALBs.
• Exposure to security testing tools like ZAP and Burp Suite for penetration testing is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

• Certification in AWS, Kubernetes, or related cloud technologies.
• Experience in integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and microservices security best practices

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent

 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Performance testing and Performance engineering.
