Senior Paid Social Marketer (Japan) 

We’re in need of a senior paid social marketer for the Japanese market, who can tackle challenges such as localization of Loop’s ads, testing various channels (Meta, TikTok,Twitter) and scaling paid social revenue by finding profitable funnels. You’ll be responsible for tackling these challenges heads-on. 

Loop's horizon is expanding. We are pushing the boundaries of e-commerce performance with our international approach. Together with a top-notch team of highly driven performance marketers, we're aiming to become the first, 1 billion in value, unicorn in Belgium within our niche. And yes, we want you to make that happen! You'll join Loop’s expansion team, being one of the first colleagues based in Japan. You’ll work closely with the go to market specialist for Japan, and with Loop’s performance marketing team, a strong squad of e-commerce experts that design, analyse and scale highly performing funnels across multiple channels. We expect you to take ownership of your own ideas, campaigns, and/or channels, to come up with a strong strategy for Japan and making sure it gets implemented in an efficient way. For the latter, you will closely work with and manage multiple agencies to achieve max. performance. 

Objective: Your goal is to scale paid social revenue in Japan 

Sidenote: You're the one with the ideas and will be facilitating the roll-out of tests & campaigns. We have al Japanese creative agency with designers and copywriters at your disposal. You're a T-Shaped marketer with an advanced knowledge in Paid Social and CRM.  

Why do we need you: We have scaled Japan to a decent level (€ 1M per quarter), but our ambition is to triple this quarterly revenue, in order to do so, we need the right experts in the right place (JP). You will work together with the expansion and performance team, to find always-on funnels to that allow Loop to scale paid social revenue in Japan. You will roll out experiments at scale and move profitable funnels to always-on campaigns that contribute to a stable revenue at a profitable ROAS.  

How you will help us scale our performance: 

  • Create a strong paid social strategy for Japan 
  • Build a workflow with existing (and new) partners (content & execution)  
  • Manage various experiments to test & validate different use cases  
  • Create clear reporting to measure (in)direct impact of paid social 
  • Implement a localized CRM flow to increase conversion & LTV 

What do we expect from you: 

  • Understand paid social advertising from A to Z (Meta, Twitter, TikTok, …) and educate yourself continuously on new methods & trends. 
  • Willingness to test new channels, new formats, new content etc. 
  • Manage a high volume of experiments and create a strong always-on layer  
  • Manage various agencies and succeed in setting up a smooth paid social workflow.  
  • Look for channel insights beyond simple data analysis and find the best strategy.  
  • Learn from Loop’s best practices in other countries and localize relevant ones in Japan 
  • Always look for further optimization/scalability/automation, never accept the status quo 

Key competencies: 

  • Performance-centric thinking with a strong capability to design a paid social strategy 
  • Having a clear focus on conversion and always think business-first 
  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset and taste for building high-performing workflows 
  • Write clear briefs and share learnings with copywriters and creative designers 
  • Campaign/Account analysis and drive insights from data 

Key experiences/knowledge: 

  • Strong knowledge of paid social advertising (Meta, Twitter, TikTok, ...) 
  • Experience with an e-commerce account of at least € 50K monthly ad spend  
  • International e-commerce experience (DTC)  
  • You are fluent in Japanese and English. 
  • A performance marketer in mind and a dare-devil in heart! We love creativity and are open to testing out your ideas. 
  • At least 3 years of experience as performance marketer within e-commerce.
