For our Competence Center Readymix (CCR) Europe, we are looking for a Performance Improvement Manager (f/m/d). The Performance Improvement (PI) Manager will drive performance improvement across our Readymix (RMC) operations by enhancing financial and non-financial KPIs. This role involves planning, communicating, and leading optimization initiatives, coordinating with various teams, and promoting continuous improvement across the entire RMC value chain.
This position is located in Heidelberg and reports to the Director Global CCR.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • Drive performance improvement by enhancing operational and financial KPIs at RMC operations.

  • Implement review cycles of operational and financial KPIs, focusing on continuously improving operating margins.

  • Assist operations with the implementation and adherence to minimum required operating practices (RMC Operating Model).

  • Ensure timely assembly of internal and external resources to support PI initiatives, including evaluating necessary CapEx for quick wins.

  • Plan, communicate, and lead optimization visits for RMC operations, involving various teams (Sales, QC, Logistics, Production).

  • Follow up on improvement opportunities and assist local management in achieving goals.

  • Coordinate communication and PI initiatives with country managers and PI responsible country individuals.

  • Collaborate with local country managers to promote good practices and identify new opportunities.

  • Transfer best practices across the organization and deliver training modules in conjunction with the Heidelberg Materials Knowledge & Training Department.

  • Work with Global CCR and other Group & Area headquarter functions to help shape the future of Heidelberg Material’s RMC business.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years in concrete materials or related building materials industry

  • Concrete production knowledge and direct experience with plant engineering, processes, control systems, and staff management

  • Ability to understand the operational, technical, commercial and financial aspects of the business and how they relate to each other.

  • Ability to apply technical recommendations in a pragmatic, hands-on way to the actual operating environment

  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to engage people into a data-driven management culture

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent communication and project management skills, and the strong desire to work alongside and support our line management with all aspects of continuous Performance Improvement

  • Strong communication skills to all levels from blue collar worker to CEO in an international environment

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

  • Strong ability to coach and motivate peers without direct lines of authority

  • Strong English spoken and written skills; other languages relevant to the Europe region are a plus

Skills Required
