Performance Engineer
You will be working on complex distributed systems, databases and large clustered datasets. You will focus on optimizing overall product performance. The role includes building infrastructures and automations for continuous performance measurement and analysis and driving performance optimization. You will work closely with the Development, QE (Quality Engineering), and Product teams to deliver high quality initiatives for all our products throughout their development life cycles.
Location: This is an office based role and the selected candidate should agree to work from the Bangalore Office.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Dev / QE / Support / PM teams to (1) review and document requirements, (2) design, implement, and automate performance tests, and (3) troubleshoot/resolve blocking issues.
- Analyze performance results to identify system bottlenecks and inefficiencies and propose optimizations to address the same.
- Monitor system performance continuously to identify performance issues and proactively resolve issues during the development life cycles before we deliver the new releases to customers.
- Document the testing processes and results and make sure they are repeatable and scalable.
- Propose innovative solutions to improve performance engineering effectiveness.
- Look for ways to improve user experience and system efficiencies.
- Conduct technical presentations to educate teams on how to improve system performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in BE/ B-Tech / M-Tech with strong Computer Science Fundamentals.
- Proficient in Python (preferred), Java, and Go is a plus.
- Decent knowledge of OS, networking, linux environment is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with performance analysis and profiling of workloads is a plus.
- Self-directed and self-motivated individual who takes complete ownership of the product and its outcome.
