Performance Engineer

The Opportunity

The Performance Team is responsible for development, maintaining and running performance tests as well as support and guidance to the whole team in testing of their areas of the product. As the Performance engineer you will be responsible for performance regression testing, automating test runs and acceptance testing of the new features. You will collaborate with cross-functional agile teams and serve as a mentor to the teams in performance testing. The main ethos of the Performance team is to keep good user experience by maintaining good performance of the product.

Responsibilities

• Intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for tackling tough problems.
• Excellent operational organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with agile technology development methodologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Performance testing (Load, Stress, SOAK, Capacity) with Jmeter.
• Frontend performance testing (Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, etc.).
• Load testing in CI/CD powered by Azure Devops or similar.
• Analysis and monitoring of system health under load (Azure Application Insights, New Relic, etc.)
• Scaling and analysing the system under load (Azure cosmos DB, Azure Service fabric, MSSQL, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in performance QA in an Agile environment.
• ISTQB (Or equivalent) certified.
• BA / BSc degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Practical experience in performance profiling and troubleshooting.
• Experience in public cloud technologies.
• Experience with cross platform integration testing.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
