About The Position
The Business Planning and Performance Execution team serves as a strategic partner to leaders across Ameren Utilities, helping translate strategy into execution. The team provides performance insights through scorecards, leads function- and segment-level strategic business planning efforts, coordinates complex cross-functional initiatives, and drives leader and coworker engagements that strengthen collaboration and alignment. Working across functions and segments and partnering with Corporate Strategy, the team enables informed decision-making, enterprise alignment, and successful execution of Ameren's strategic priorities.
As part of this team, the Performance and Engagement Analyst supports Ameren Utilities scorecard reporting, leader and coworker engagements, and strategy execution initiative tracking by compiling information, preparing analyses, coordinating activities, maintaining documentation, and supporting recurring processes.
The role performs defined assignments within established frameworks, identifies issues and trends, and escalates exceptions as appropriate. The position develops increasing independence and professional expertise while contributing to accurate reporting, effective engagements, and successful initiative execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Performance Management and Reporting
Compile, validate, and maintain KPI and scorecard data, investigating discrepancies and escalating unresolved data-quality issues.
Execute monthly performance reporting processes. Prepare recurring performance reports, standard analyses, and supporting materials accurately and on schedule.
Analyze assigned metrics to identify trends, exceptions, and potential performance drivers.
Coordinate follow-up with metric owners and maintain documentation of actions, decisions, and reporting changes.
Assist with benchmarking and comparative analysis for issues of defined or moderate scope.
Identify and suggest practical improvements to assigned reporting tools, templates, and processes.
Leader and Coworker Engagements
Support execution of Ameren Utilities leader and coworker engagement activities within established plans and frameworks.
Coordinate schedules, logistics, materials, communications, and action tracking for assigned efforts.
Compile and summarize feedback, identify recurring themes, and support development of follow-up actions.
Build productive working relationships with team members, leaders, and stakeholders.
Strategy Execution Initiatives
Support status tracking, documentation, and reporting for assigned strategic initiatives.
Gather and organize data, conduct standard analysis, and identify risks, issues, and dependencies for escalation.
Maintain assigned schedules, trackers, decision logs, action items, and supporting documentation.
Contribute to process improvements and special projects using established methods and guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Two or more years of relevant professional experience. Or advanced degree with 1 or more years of relevant professional experience. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Demonstrated experience preparing reports, analyzing data, coordinating meetings or projects, and managing multiple deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies, trends, and issues requiring follow-up.
Ability to prepare clear reports, summaries, presentation materials, and supporting documentation.

Ability to coordinate activities, maintain accurate trackers and records, and meet multiple established deadlines.
Ability to apply established methods, identify practical process improvements, and escalate exceptions appropriately.
Ability to work independently on routine assignments while seeking guidance for new, complex, or unfamiliar work.
Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, adaptability, learning agility, and commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
This role requires in person participation, including supporting and participating in meetings and strategic engagements in the AHQ St. Louis and Collinsville, IL offices on a frequent basis.

Compensation Range:
$71,100.00 - $110,200.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
