We are looking for a Performance & Compensation Manager to join our team at Sanoma Learning for a permanent position. This role is preferably based in Madrid (Spain), but can be located to the following Sanoma Learning countries as well: Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Italy or Poland. The role is hybrid with high level of flexibility.
In this role, you will play a key part in implementing performance and compensation programs and initiatives across the organization, ensuring local execution aligns with global guidelines. You will design and manage salary programs, benefits structures, and incentive plans, while providing insights through financial, market, and legal analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence reward strategies and contribute to organizational success.
Key tasks
Performance and Compensation Program Design: Contribute to the design and delivery of employee compensation structures and benefit programs; provide analysis and draft management proposals.
Incentive Program Design: Develop and implement employee incentive programs ensuring compliance and alignment with business goals.
Executive Reward Program: Support implementation and administration of executive compensation programs.
Annual Pay & Benefits Review: Assist in annual review processes, prepare communications, and provide market insights.
Job Architecture: Support design, communication, and maintenance of Sanoma’s Job Architecture framework.
HR Data Management: Contribute to HR data collection and testing to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Performance Management: Help design and deliver performance management standards and tools.
Budgeting & Policy Development: Deliver budgets and assist in policy development and implementation.
External Consultant Engagement: Prepare briefings and monitor outcomes for external consultants.
About you
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a suitable field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in compensation, benefits, and performance management.
Are used to work in English in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Advanced expertise in Compensation and Benefits, Policy Development, Budgeting, and Data Analysis.
Business insight, financial acumen, and ability to manage complexity.
Excellent communication skills and ability to balance multiple stakeholders.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in HR systems and data management tools. Workday experience is seen as an asset.
Project management and workflow optimization experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an excellent attention to detail
High level of autonomy, oriented to results, resilience, proactivity and hands-on approach.
