Job Description
The Performance Business Transformation team is responsible for expedited onboarding of asset owner and asset manager clients from a legacy internal platform to an external platform. The team is also responsible for providing an overview and analysis of portfolio performance to institutional clients such as investment managers and superannuation funds. This is achieved through various analytical tools and reports including performance measurement, attribution and contribution analysis, risk analysis and other value-added services such as portfolio optimization and manager analysis.
As a Performance Business Transformation Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders in client operations, product technology, and product management across our global operating sites. Your strong knowledge of performance, attribution and analytics products will be critical in this role, especially within the institutional client segment. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on our business transformation process.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive performance analysis of investment portfolios, including attribution analysis, benchmarking and performance measurement against objectives.
  • Develop and maintain performance and risk reporting frameworks, dashboards and models to provide timely and accurate reporting to clients.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendor and internal management/front line staff
  • Partner with performance operations to understand client behavior where required
  • Possess business-level understanding of platform functions (legacy and external)
  • Work independently as well as on a team to verify performance/risk analytics at multiple levels across platforms using available tooling
  • Interpret and write commentary on functional testing results
  • Identify, document, and resolve production issues pre and post migration
  • Participate in the implementation of performance measurement and risk analytics systems and tools, including data validation and testing.
  • Provide concise client migration status updates and assist with prioritization
  • Present findings, outcomes, and solutions at stakeholder meetings


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate or equivalent in business/finance or math
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in performance analysis, risk analytics, or investment analytics within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of investment products, asset classes and financial markets.
  • Understanding of systems/software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with office productivity software
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to work hard and be on a steep learning curve
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated problem-solving ability


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Industry recognized professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA and CIPM are encouraged
  • At least 5 years working with market leading performance, attribution and analytics software platforms e.g. Factset
