Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Performance & Planning Analyst to join our Operations team in Lutterworth.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across our warehouse operations by conducting in-depth data analysis and developing essential reporting tools. This role is instrumental in enhancing overall warehouse performance and translating complex data into actionable business insights.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Analyse and Optimise Processes: Conduct detailed time-and-motion studies and analyse operational data from Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other sources to identify inefficiencies and areas for process improvement, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) like pick rates and cycle times.
Develop Reporting and Automation Tools: Design, maintain, and enhance data dashboards, reports, and KPI trackers, primarily using Google Sheets, and develop lightweight tools or automation scripts using Google Apps Script, Java, and HTML to streamline workflows.
Present Actionable Insights: Lead meetings with operations managers and cross-functional teams to present analytical findings and provide data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement projects.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in Operations/Logistics: Relevant professional experience in a logistics, operations, or supply chain analytics environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and data visualisation techniques. Experience with or administration of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential.
Analytical Acumen: A solid understanding of warehouse workflows and key performance indicators (KPIs) with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Communication & Independence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to lead team meetings and presentations, along with a proven ability to work independently to identify and solve problems.
