Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Administrator to lead the administration, architecture, and support of enterprise-wide PeopleSoft HCM environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in PeopleSoft infrastructure with proven record in end-to-end upgrade programs and managing customer relationships without escalations.
Key Responsibilities
Own the administration, architecture, and support of enterprise-wide PeopleSoft HCM environments
Define technical standards, governance, and best practices for PeopleSoft administration
Act as the technical escalation point for critical production issues
Review architecture and recommend modernization strategies
PeopleSoft Administration:
Install, configure, administer, and maintain multiple PeopleSoft environments (Development, QA, SIT, UAT, Performance, DR, Production)
Install and configure:

Application Server
Process Scheduler
Web Server (PIA)
Integration Broker
Elastic Search
Kibana
Oracle SES/OpenSearch (where applicable)
Perform People Tools upgrades and patching
Apply Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU)
Implement PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) Images
Manage DPK deployments and Change Assistant activities
Perform environment cloning, refreshes, and production migrations
End-to-End PeopleSoft Upgrade
Lead complete upgrade programs including:
Planning
Upgrade strategy and roadmap
Infrastructure assessment
Compatibility analysis
Risk identification
Downtime planning
Capacity planning
Upgrade estimation
Execution
People Tools upgrades
HCM application upgrades
Oracle Database upgrades
WebLogic upgrades
Tuxedo upgrades
JDK upgrades
Elasticsearch implementation and upgrades
UM Image adoption
Tax Update implementation
Testing Support
SIT coordination
UAT support
Performance testing
Security validation
Integration testing
Production readiness reviews
Cutover & Go-Live
Cutover planning
Production migration

Hypercare support
Post-production stabilization
Performance & Capacity Management
Monitor and tune Application Server, Web Server, and Database performance
Conduct capacity planning based on usage trends and business growth
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across environments
Establish performance baselines and proactive alerting/monitoring
Integration Management:
Administer and support Integration Broker, web services, and file-based integrations
Coordinate with functional and technical teams on inbound/outbound interface reliability
Troubleshoot integration failures and ensure data integrity across connected systems
Support third-party integrations related to HCM processes (payroll, benefits, time & labor, etc.)
Production Support:
Provide L2/L3 production support and root-cause analysis for critical incidents
Manage batch job monitoring, scheduling, and failure resolution
Own incident, problem, and change management processes for PeopleSoft environments
Ensure system availability, security, and compliance with SLAs
Work directly with customers/stakeholders during incidents — resolving issues promptly and professionally, with a demonstrated track record of zero escalations
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and environment topology
Document upgrade plans, runbooks, cutover checklists, and rollback procedures
Create and maintain knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure documentation remains current through each release/upgrade cycle
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator, with deep expertise in the HR/HCM module
Proven track record leading end-to-end PeopleSoft upgrades (People Tools, application, and infrastructure components)
Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft architecture: Application Server, Web Server (PIA), Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, Elastic Search/Kibana
Experience with Oracle Database administration in a PeopleSoft context, WebLogic, and Tuxedo
Familiarity with DPK (Deployment Packages), Change Assistant, and PUM Image adoption
Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance-tuning skills
Excellent client-facing communication skills, with demonstrated success managing customer relationships without escalations
Experience defining governance, standards, and best practices for a PeopleSoft environment
Ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, high-stakes upgrade programs
Preferred Qualifications:
9+ years of Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI and People Code/Application Engine
Exposure to cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments (OCI, AWS, or Azure) is preferred.
Prior experience in a client-facing / consulting or managed-services environment
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

Skills Required
- 10+ years of PeopleSoft administration experience
- Extensive PeopleSoft HCM experience
- Experience leading end-to-end PeopleSoft upgrades covering PeopleTools, applications, and infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Application Server, Web Server PIA, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
- Experience with Oracle Database administration in a PeopleSoft context, WebLogic, and Tuxedo
- Familiarity with Deployment Packages, Change Assistant, and PeopleSoft Update Manager images
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance-tuning skills
- Excellent client-facing communication and customer relationship management without escalations
