Formlabs is looking for a People Lead to join our team! This role is a pivotal individual contributor role, paired closely with business leadership at Formlabs. Formlabs has 2 locations in Ohio - a print farm and a materials manufacturing plant. We're also opening a new, open-concept industrial & lab facility in the Greater Boston area to expand capacity and capabilities available for internal Engineering & Operations teams. You will be the go-to people person to launch our new New England facility, and support both Ohio locations. This position will require monthly travel to our site in Massachusetts.

The Job:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to leaders in order to align people strategy to the business strategy. Ensure that we are focused on objectives that result in hiring, retaining and growing top talent.
  • Ability to leverage multiple data sources (quantitative and qualitative) to better understand the health of the org relating to our talent pool and deliver insights and actions that will drive improved business outcomes.
  • Manage the areas core to the People Operations team for the whole employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, leaves, accommodations, immigration, benefits, and employee relations
  • Liaise with Payroll as needed to support the timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Communicate with governmental agencies/departments to support compliance with regulations 
  • Provide expertise, guidance and execution in the areas of performance management and performance evaluation processes, total rewards evaluations driving an understanding of the competitive market, headcount planning and organizational design, employee engagement initiatives, and change management
  • Own execution and delivery of existing processes (performance reviews, training, surveys, communications, employee relations) within your sites
  • Responsible for providing a great employee experience at the site which includes office management, managing our food and beverage programs, and site-wide event planning
  • Develop and implement scalable employee experience programs and processes to increase productivity, performance, retention, and engagement within our workforce and measure the results of these programs
  • Be a visible and accessible resource and coach to employees and managers, embedded in your sites, and the first contact for specific people questions
  • Act as a point of contact for employees who are navigating challenging personal or professional issues that impact their work experience
  • Continuously identify opportunities to standardize and upgrade our people processes and practices to drive efficiency across the team and Formlabs
  • Keep efficiency and ways to leverage technology top of mind in your work

You:

  • Bring 4+ years of relevant experience in the People space and/or business operations
  • Bring an energetic, business-oriented, and analytical mindset to People work
  • Are a trusted coach and advisor, helping leaders make better decisions and build high-performing teams. You leverage your EQ to build rapport and trust with a wide range of people, levels, and departments
  • Think logically and analytically, applying structured problem-solving techniques and qualitative/quantitative data to inform people programs and decisions
  • Balance a consultative and hands-on approach to solving problems
  • Have a bias for action and keep details top of mind, leveraging your experience managing complex programs and projects to drive real change
  • Are a polished communicator who excels at keeping a wide range of stakeholders involved and informed, through project management and consistent delivery
  • Serve as a sound mixer between the business and the voice of the employee – you balance and translate one to the other and excel at creating alignment
  • Thrive with resilience in a dynamic environment that’s always evolving 
  • Own your expertise and know what you don’t know, bringing both confidence and curiosity to discussions and decision-making
