About Prime Robotics
Prime Robotics is a fast-growing warehouse automation company building integrated robotics, software, and systems that improve productivity for enterprise customers. We operate in a high-ownership, execution-focused environment where accountability, professionalism, fairness, and cultural alignment matter.
As we scale, we are looking for a People & Talent Manager who will serve as a recruiting owner, standards-and-values leader, and trusted partner to company leadership.
Role Overview
The People & Talent Manager’s primary responsibility is recruiting and values alignment — ensuring Prime hires the right people and consistently reinforces the behaviors and standards expected across the company.
This role requires strong judgment, high integrity, direct communication, and the ability to lead by example.
This is a full-scope HR role in a growth-stage company, though it is not payroll-heavy. Prime Robotics uses Justworks to support payroll, tax filings, benefits administration, and many government compliance requirements. The People & Talent Manager is still expected to own HR processes, documentation, recruiting operations, employee lifecycle administration, and manager support.
Top Responsibilities
1. Recruiting & Hiring — Top Priority
- Own end-to-end recruiting for salaried and hourly roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to clearly define role requirements, success criteria, interview process, and hiring priorities.
- Screen candidates rigorously for values alignment, work ethic, accountability, communication style, and ability to succeed in Prime’s high-ownership environment.
- Ensure hiring decisions reinforce company standards, role requirements, and long-term team quality.
- Maintain disciplined, consistent hiring processes.
- Own recruiting operations, including candidate pipelines, interview stages, screening metrics, interview feedback, offer process, and hiring documentation.
- Own and maintain the ATS, including job postings, candidate dispositioning, interview feedback, hiring documentation, and pipeline reporting.
- Provide weekly recruiting updates to leadership, including open roles, pipeline health, aging requisitions, candidate stage conversion, hiring manager bottlenecks, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance.
2. Standards, Values & Culture Alignment
- Serve as a standards and values leader, ensuring behaviors align with Prime’s expectations for accountability, professionalism, fairness, and execution.
- Reinforce standards around communication, responsiveness, ownership, and workplace professionalism.
- Identify cultural or behavioral risks early and escalate appropriately.
- Help leaders address performance and behavior issues constructively, consistently, and promptly.
- Apply policies consistently and fairly, including to yourself.
- Support a culture where HR serves both employees and the business through fairness, clarity, and sound judgment.
3. People Operations
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR files.
- Coordinate benefits administration through Justworks.
- Ensure employee lifecycle processes are smooth, professional, and consistent.
- Maintain organized HR systems, SharePoint documentation, and employee process records.
- Support employee communications related to policies, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and company expectations.
4. Leadership Partnership
- Act as a trusted, business-minded advisor to leadership.
- Provide clear recommendations, not just options.
- Support managers with hiring, performance management, documentation, employee relations, and sensitive people issues.
- Partner with leadership on headcount planning, hiring prioritization, and timing aligned with business needs and budget constraints.
- Handle sensitive matters with discretion, maturity, and sound judgment.
- Help managers maintain consistency in expectations, documentation, and employee communication.
5. Systems, Metrics & Process Improvement
- Own HR-related systems, documentation, workflows, and process improvements.
- Support structured performance management processes, including review cycles, documentation, manager guidance, and follow-up.
- Maintain HR metrics and reporting to support leadership decision-making and investor or diligence readiness.
- Continuously improve people processes as the company scales.
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency across HR operations.
- Build repeatable systems so recruiting, onboarding, documentation, and employee management do not depend on informal processes.
6. General HR & Administrative Ownership — One-Person Department
- Maintain and help enforce the employee handbook and company policies.
- Support HR-related government compliance, with support from Justworks and outside advisors when needed.
- Support managers with performance management and documentation.
- Coordinate team-building activities and internal events.
- Support office and on-site workplace administration.
- Maintain a cost-conscious approach to HR programs, recruiting tools, events, and workplace resources.
