Role Summary
The People & Talent Generalist serves in a key human resources generalist role responsible for managing core people programs and HR initiatives that support organizational goals and employee success, including talent acquisition, compliance, payroll and benefits administration, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, and other HR operations. The People & Talent Generalist upholds the Foundation’s values of Accountability, Care and Excellence and helps to champion a supportive, people-first culture and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, and offboarding, in partnership with the Managing Director.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, organizational policies, and internal procedures.

Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organizational effectiveness and clarity.

Coordinate and collaborate across the organization on employee engagement, recognition, culture, and learning & development programs, in alignment with organizational values, that support employee growth, recognition and retention.

Manage HRIS systems, records, and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

Provide input on people-related strategies, organizational effectiveness, and talent management initiatives.

Research and analyze workforce trends, employee feedback, HR metrics, and organizational needs to recommend improvements and inform decision-making.

Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives on behalf of the People & Talent department, representing department goals and priorities.

- 5 - 7 Years of Experience as a Human Resources generalist or a similar role.

Demonstrated success in providing excellent customer service in Human Resources to employees.

High level of professionalism, integrity and diplomacy with ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, adapt to changing organizational needs, and make sound decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.

The Community Foundation operates in a hybrid working environment with staff working in-office three days per week and the opportunity to work two days remote per week if in good standing.
Compensation & Benefits
To be determined based upon experience and qualifications within the anticipated salary range of $80,000-$90,000. This position is exempt, and employee is eligible for the Foundation’s competitive health and benefits plan which includes:
