Overview
The People Specialist is part of the Western European HR team and reports to the People Business Partner Director. The People Specialist plays a key role in supporting a positive, seamless, and high-quality employee experience in Spain.
This role contributes across a broad range of People topics, working closely with employees, people leaders, and key stakeholders. The People Specialist will support the effective delivery of People & Capability (P&C) programs, help ensure strong operational delivery, and contribute to ongoing improvements across local HR processes in Spain.
In this role you will:• Support key employee lifecycle activities in Spain, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and positive experience for employees and managers• Support the delivery of local People initiatives and programs across employee engagement, rewards, training, onboarding, and People operations, contributing to an inclusive and high-performing workplace in Spain• Partner closely with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, compliant, and employee-focused delivery of People processes• Support in preparing, review, and maintaining employment-related documentation, applying strong attention to detail and sound judgement in line with company policies and Spanish legal and regulatory requirements• Support as a trusted and knowledgeable point of contact for employees and people managers, advising on day-to-day People matters with a high level of service, accuracy, care, and confidentiality• Build strong cross-functional relationships with employees, business leaders, and regional HR partners to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and deliver effective People support• Use reporting and analytics to track People metrics, identify trends, provide insights, and support data-informed decision-making for the Spain population• Proactively identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to simplify and improve People processes, enhancing efficiency, consistency, and the employee experience• Contribute to local culture, engagement, volunteering, and Employee Resource Group initiatives, helping to strengthen connection and inclusion across the Spain office• Support with local employee matters, divisional P&C workstreams, and special projects as needed
All About You• You bring solid experience in HR, People Operations, or a related field, with strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and local HR practices in Spain• You communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, both written and verbal, and can confidently engage with employees, managers, and senior stakeholders• You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment• You demonstrate strong judgement, discretion, and ownership when handling sensitive employee matters and confidential data• You have an analytical mindset and are comfortable using data, reporting, and insights to support decisions, identify trends, and improve processes• You are confident working with Microsoft Office tools, HR systems, and employee data with accuracy, consistency, and discretion• You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and motivated to deepen your HR expertise while contributing across a broad range of People topics with increasing autonomy and impact

Skills Required

  • Experience in HR, People Operations, or related field with understanding of employee lifecycle processes and local HR practices in Spain
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Strong judgement, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive employee matters and confidential data
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable using data, reporting, and insights to support decisions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and HR systems; accurate handling of employee data
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and collaborate with Payroll, TA, Rewards, Legal, and other stakeholders
