People Relations Specialist (Fixed-Term Contract to December 2026)

At Lyreco, we’re committed to creating a fair, respectful and high-performing workplace. We’re looking for an experienced People Relations Specialist to join our People & Culture team on a fixed-term basis, supporting the business through a high volume of employee relations casework.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where your expertise will help managers navigate complex situations with confidence, consistency and care.
What you’ll do
- Manage a high-volume caseload of employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance, attendance)
- Lead thorough and compliant investigations, ensuring clear documentation and best practice
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice to managers in line with UK & ROI employment law
- Identify trends, risks and insights from casework to support better decision-making
- Collaborate with People Business Partners to drive effective outcomes
- Support continuous improvement of ER policies, processes and ways of working
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience managing complex ER casework in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of UK & ROI employment law
- Confident advising and influencing managers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Resilient, discreet and professional when handling sensitive matters
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5+ (or equivalent)
- Experience in a commercial environment
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g. Workday)
