We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.

People Team at Brex

The People team builds and sustains the culture that powers Brex. We focus on talent, growth, and the employee experience; creating an environment where high-agency individuals can thrive. From hiring to development, we design systems that grow with scale and challenge people to reach their potential. It’s a team for builders, coaches, and culture-shapers.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our New York office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

What You’ll Do

As our People Programs Lead, you will be the face of employee onboarding, owning the entire new hire journey end-to-end to empower, equip, and enable Brex employees. You’ll serve as the primary host and first friendly face new hires meet, blending operational excellence with engaging facilitation both in our hubs and remotely. Beyond onboarding, you’ll act as a core engine across our Talent Management portfolio, designing resources, automating continuous processes, scaling mentorship programs, and translating data into actionable insights for People leadership. If you play to win and want to directly shape high-performing teams, this role is your canvas.

Responsibilities

  • Own global onboarding cohorts end-to-end: from preboarding logistics to facilitating live onboarding sessions, readiness to the first-90-days curriculum and executive setups, ensuring an exceptional, seamless candidate experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, Workplace, Recruiting, People Business Partners, and external partners to resolve edge-case scenarios and optimize the program over time.
  • Deliver quarterly performance recaps and strategic evolution proposals to People leadership. Measure program efficacy using new hire surveys and completion analytics.
  • Maintain ongoing mentorship initiatives by pairing mentors, tracking feedback, and building clear documentation to sustain long-term engagement.
  • Operate as a “utility player” across Brex’s entire talent management portfolio, including supporting projects in employee engagement, rotational or mobility programs, learning & development, and performance programs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on program management experience within Talent Management, People Operations, or L&D, ideally in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Facilitation & Presentation: Outstanding communication skills and a passion for leading engaging, high-energy facilitation sessions both in-person and remotely.
  • Cross-Functional Operations: Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes (IT, Workplace, Recruiting) and independently resolve ad-hoc operational scenarios.
  • Data & Analytics Fluency: Comfort pulling and analyzing both qualitative survey feedback and quantitative metrics to validate program health and drive iteration.
  • Ownership Mindset: A proactive, "utility player" attitude with strong attention to detail and a track record of driving initiatives independently.

Bonus points

  • You have run a company-wide onboarding program before and you’d enthusiastically want to own that at Brex
  • A desire to stretch beyond onboarding over time into ownership of broader Talent Management functions such as employee engagement, rotational or mobility programs, learning & development, or more.
  • You thrive on novelty, autonomy, and challenge. You “play to win”

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $103,000 - $128,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on program management experience in Talent Management, People Operations, or Learning and Development
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including engaging facilitation in person and remotely
  • Experience navigating complex cross-functional stakeholder environments and resolving operational scenarios independently
  • Comfort analyzing qualitative survey feedback and quantitative metrics
  • Proactive ownership mindset, strong attention to detail, and experience driving initiatives independently
  • Experience running a company-wide onboarding program
  • Interest or experience in employee engagement, rotational or mobility programs, learning and development, or broader talent management functions
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, autonomous, and challenging environments

Brex Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Brex and has not been reviewed or approved by Brex.

  • Fair & Transparent Compensation — Pay is considered competitive for many engineering and senior product roles, with strong total compensation relative to late‑stage tech peers. Flexibility to balance cash and equity has historically reinforced perceptions of market alignment.
  • Healthcare Strength — Health, dental, and vision coverage are paired with mental‑health resources like Spring Health and Calm, forming a comprehensive healthcare stack. This combination signals an above‑average mental‑health offering in tech.
  • Parental & Family Support — Parental leave is described as generous and is complemented by Carrot fertility support and Milk Stork for nursing parents. These elements indicate a family‑friendly package that exceeds common fintech baselines.
