ABOUT THE JOB

The People Partner will provide professional expertise and support in a variety of HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding activities. This role will be a trusted partner to managers and employees on all things People. This person will be onsite 4 days per week in our San Jose office.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT 

  • First point of contact for employee questions, leave of absence and employment verification requests. Escalate issues to other members of the people team as appropriate.
  • Partner with the people team to understand current processes and policies, assist with creating and updating employee and admin user guides.
  • Manage data integrity within people systems and enter/manage changes such as employee transfers, reorganizations, shift changes, compensation changes, job changes, mass uploads, etc.
  • Engage with employees and managers to resolve employee relation matters. 
  • Manage the administration of onsite and electronic on-boarding, offboarding, and related tasks.
  • Maintain electronic employee files, including I-9 documentation, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Administer the worker’s compensation and OSHA process; reporting injuries, annual reporting requirements, etc.    
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of employee handbooks and HR processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment signage, notification procedures, and benefit and labor laws.
  • Lead various people team employee initiatives such as quarterly lunch and learns.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Talent Management

  • Schedule interviews using Greenhouse (ATS) and Zoom video conferencing tools; some scheduling may involve travel reservations and coordinating with Executive Assistants.
  • Handles confidential candidate/employee information, such as NDAs, offer letters, etc.
  • Maintain data integrity of Applicant Tracking System; update statuses; track candidate progress; post, refresh current job opportunities.
  • Supports recruiting team as needed; logistics, following up with employees/candidates, etc.
  • Informs employees of referral statuses and changes in recruiting process as needed.

Benefits

  • Support and assist with administration, communication and maintenance of benefit programs, policies and procedures.
  • Administrative tasks including weekly review/resolution of carrier connection errors, monthly reconciliation of carrier invoices and self billing and quarterly self billing.
  • Maintenance of current benefit documents and plan information for all employees on the Visbee portal and shared drive.
  • Serve as backup presenter  for weekly Benefit Orientations 

IT’S GREAT IF YOU HAVE

  • BS/BA in Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, or related discipline, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.0-2 years of general HR experience.
  • Previous experience using an HRIS system, such as ADP, Workday, UKG a plus.
  • Previous experience using Applicant Tracking System software (Greenhouse) a plus.Solid IT/PC Skills (Microsoft and Google Suite - gsheets, gdocs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of core HR processes and compliance requirements.
  • Superior interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to positively interact with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results oriented, resourceful, creative, detail oriented, and well organized.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and/or motions.Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.

SALARY RANGE

  • $70,000 - $80,000  (Salary range for candidates based in San Jose, CA) Compensation for the role is based on geographical location. Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
