We are hiring a People Ops & Office Coordinator to help run the day-to-day employee, candidate, and office experience at Salient.

This is a hands-on, in-person role across recruiting coordination, onboarding, People Operations, employee experience, and office management. You will make sure candidates have a polished onsite interview experience, new hires start smoothly, employees know where to go for day-to-day People questions, and the office is organized, stocked, and running well.

This is a great role for someone early in their career who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by being the person who keeps things moving.

What you’ll do
  • Coordinate onsite interviews, candidate schedules, interview rooms, office tours, and candidate logistics

  • Welcome candidates and help create a high-quality interview experience from arrival through departure

  • Support recruiting events, university recruiting, office open houses, and hiring initiatives

  • Keep recruiting dashboards, hiring trackers, and candidate logistics accurate and up to date

  • Support new hire onboarding logistics from offer acceptance through the first few weeks

  • Coordinate orientation, onboarding sessions, demos, benefits materials, and internal resources

  • Maintain onboarding presentations, People policy one-pagers, and employee-facing materials

  • Serve as a first point of contact for general People Operations questions

  • Support employee communications, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, team events, and engagement initiatives

  • Support day-to-day office management, including snacks, beverages, supplies, and common spaces.

  • Help create a welcoming, organized, and high-energy office for employees, candidates, and visitors

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality/Event Management, Organizational Studies, or a related field

  • 0–2 years of professional experience, ideally in people-facing role

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Friendly, polished, and comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, executives, and visitors

  • Proactive and able to anticipate what needs to happen before being asked

  • Comfortable juggling many small details in a fast-moving environment

  • Excited to work in person

  • Low ego, high ownership, and willing to jump in wherever needed

  • Experience with Google Workspace, ATS or HRIS tools, event coordination, onboarding, or office operations is a plus.

At Salient, we’re building at the edge of AI - fast, focused, and with real ownership. Sprints and major launches move quickly, and we look for people who are energized by that pace. Our team typically works around 60 hours per week, beginning at 8:00 AM, with four days spent collaborating in person at our San Francisco office.

We also offer a benefits package designed to support our full-time employees: medical, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k), and catered lunches.

By applying, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
