Why This Role Matters

The People Operations Generalist will build, operate, and continuously improve the people systems that enable high performance, accountability, and culture alignment across a growing multidisciplinary healthcare organization. This role is designed for an HR Generalist who can operate independently, coach managers with both empathy and firmness, and translate Rebis values into practical, scalable processes.
The People Operations Generalist is a working owner of core HR workflows (employee lifecycle, employee relations, performance management, policy & compliance, HRIS accuracy, and total rewards administration). The role’s output should focus on tangible improvements such as enhanced clarity, better execution, retention of top talent, and reduced organizational risk, rather than simply "HR activity."

  • Own HRIS data integrity (employee records, org structure, job changes) and reporting cadence to leadership.

Total Rewards Administration & Workforce Support

  • Administer compensation changes in accordance with defined policy; ensure approvals and documentation align with the scope/outcomes.

  • Support annual benchmarking and salary range maintenance; partner with Finance to align with budgets.

  • Provide analytics on turnover, headcount, role fill timelines, and workforce risks/opportunities.

  • Oversee the management of benefits.

Compliance, Policy, and Risk Management

  • Maintain compliant personnel records and required acknowledgements; support audits and record retention practices.

  • Partner with leadership to ensure policy updates are implemented consistently across teams and locations.

  • Coordinate leave management and accommodations processes in compliance with applicable laws.

Culture, Engagement, and Capability Building

  • Embed the Rebis Guiding Principles into people practices and daily leadership behaviors.

  • Design lightweight, high-impact engagement initiatives (recognition, communication forums, manager development).

  • Model 'Heart of Service' internally—delivering HR with empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist / People Operations experience, including employee relations and performance management.

  • Demonstrated experience building and improving HR systems (process design, templates, governance).

  • Strong working knowledge of employment law fundamentals and HR compliance practices.

  • Exceptional written documentation skills; able to produce clear, concise, defensible records.

  • Ability to operate with discretion and earn trust across levels.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments.

  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and frontline teams.

  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

  • Experience with HRIS/payroll administration and reporting (systems orientation).

Behavioral Expectations

  • Balance empathy with accountability; standards remain consistent even when conversations are hard.

  • Operate with a ‘Fanatical Custodian of Time’ mindset; simplify and streamline where possible.

  • Bring ‘Humble Curiosity,’ seek to understand root causes before prescribing solutions.

  • Model integrity and confidentiality; do the right thing when no one is watching.

  • Use judgment and discernment (‘Beyond the Rules’) while remaining compliant and fair.
