About the Role

As a People Operations & Talent Generalist at Synthflow, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of our people processes— ensuring that everything from onboarding to offboarding runs smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly. You’ll be the go-to person for all things People Ops, combining hands-on execution with process improvement and automation.

While your main focus will be Europe, your work will also support our globally distributed team. You’ll partner closely with our Finance, Legal, and Leadership teams to make sure our people operations scale alongside our growth — staying compliant, efficient, and employee-centric.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment, enjoys juggling a wide range of operational tasks, and wants to play a key role in shaping an exceptional employee experience at a growing AI company.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end: onboarding, contracts, payroll inputs, benefits, and offboarding

  • Act as the go-to partner for employees and managers on people processes, policies, and day-to-day operations

  • Run and improve hiring operations: ATS management, interview coordination, process enforcement, and candidate experience

  • Support sourcing and pipeline building when needed

  • Ensure compliance with German labor law and maintain clean, accurate HR and hiring data (HRIS, ATS, GDPR)

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Leadership on payroll, headcount tracking, employment changes, and planning

  • Drive operational excellence by streamlining workflows, introducing automation, and building scalable processes

What You’ll Bring
  • 3–4 years of experience in People Ops, HR, Talent Ops, or similar roles in a startup or scale-up

  • Hands-on experience with payroll and multi-country operations (Germany required; UK/NL a plus)

  • Strong understanding of employment types, contracts, and compliance (especially German labor law)

  • Experience with HRIS / ATS tools (e.g. Hibob, Deel, Personio, Ashby) and improving workflows

  • A structured, detail-oriented operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings clarity to ambiguity

Skills Required
