  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, life-event changes, and broker-facing coordination.
  • Own FMLA and state-specific leave cases from intake through return-to-work.
  • Help maintain the employee handbook and internal HR policy documentation.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on new-hire handoff to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding.
  • Plan and run the logistics for company culture and engagement activities throughout the year, including all-hands events, holiday celebrations, and team-building activities.
  • Serve as a capable backup for core HR operations during planned leadership absences.
  • Process payroll and own related tax and compensation administration, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process improvement and automation across People Ops systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role..
  • Hands-on experience administering payroll, benefits, and leave programs.
  • Experience administering an HRIS platform (Rippling preferred) at a day-to-day operational level.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state employment law, compliance requirements, and recordkeeping (I-9s, PIIA, and similar).
  • Experience supporting or administering a performance review cycle.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience producing people and HR reporting for leadership.
  • Experience designing or coordinating learning and development programs.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to operate independently and take ownership, particularly important given planned coverage responsibilities during leadership absences.
