Who You Are

The Senior People Operations Generalist will ensure flawless execution of the processes and programs of the People team including HRIS, Benefits, Onboarding, Offboarding, Compliance Management, Immigration, and Employee Inquiries.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages and performs routine tasks required to administer and execute People programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave management,  immigration, background checks, training and development compliance.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
  • Total Rewards support in payroll coordination, benefits administration, open enrollment.
  • Create, track and report on HR metrics such as employee engagement, turnover, company required training modules.  

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with and knowledge of People Operations best practices at a growing company.  Experience supporting effective People policies.
  • Strong knowledge of Immigration Law.
  • Experience administering workers compensation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations including Federal, California, and Washington labor laws.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn ADP WorkforceNow, Greenhouse, Lattice, ChartHop.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.  
  • Office Requirement: Alameda: Monday-Friday: 5 days per week. Available 9am-6pm

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of people operations or generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

The starting base pay for this role is between $130,000 and $164,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
