As Lalamove continues to grow, we’re looking for a People Operations Associate to join our team in our Berlin office. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your primary mission will be office and people operations—ensuring a smooth, well-organised, and engaging workplace environment that supports our growing team.

In this role, you will take ownership of office management and employee operations, bringing structure to a fast-moving environment, supporting employees across their lifecycle, and working closely with the People Manager to deliver a world-class employee experience. In addition, you will support Talent Acquisition activities by assisting with recruitment coordination and helping the team attract and onboard top talent as we continue to expand.

What you'll do:

  • Office & Workplace Management: Take ownership of office operations, including managing vendors, supplies, office maintenance, and workplace coordination to ensure a productive and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
  • Employee Lifecycle Support: Facilitate a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience and support employees throughout their journey at Lalamove, including handling essential administrative tasks such as employment documentation and visa processes.
  • People Operations Excellence: Maintain accurate HR records and systems while helping refine internal processes, policies, and employee guides as the organisation continues to scale.
  • Culture & Engagement: Coordinate company events, team activities, and ad-hoc initiatives that strengthen collaboration, engagement, and our workplace culture.
  • Talent Acquisition Support: Assist with recruitment activities across the hiring lifecycle, including coordinating interviews, supporting candidate communications, posting roles, and helping deliver a positive candidate experience. You will also support sourcing efforts and help build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.

What we seek:

  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR generalist or recruitment role, ideally within a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
  • A completed business or hospitality apprenticeship, a degree with a focus on human resources or business administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Familiarity with German labour laws and HR best practices, as well as experience coordinating with external vendors.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a knack for building relationships.
  • Detail-orientated with a deep understanding of how to handle confidential information with absolute integrity.
  • Proactive and able to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively in a "build-as-you-go" environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with Personio is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and a minimum C1 level in German.

Skills Required
