How you will contribute
You will:
- Support and partner with the Senior People Lead on the definition and execution of global and local policy and change initiatives and understand the impacts of the changes planned
- Partner with function leads and middle managers to collaborate on creating and delivering the functional priorities and plan, providing strategic guidance
- Leverage data analytics in driving business solutions and decisions and support with the delivery of operational processes and leverage insights and data and translate into actionable plans to impact the bottom line and enable business strategy. Inform and update People Services of any local, legal and regulatory changes in market
- Lead and advise on talent management practices within assigned business unit related to workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy planning, leadership development, employee development, career and succession planning and talent mobility, approving job requisitions
- Build end-to-end capabilities that accelerate consumer-centric growth and operational excellence
- Manage works council relations and provide guidance to HR to ensure successful implementation of labor policies and compliance with laws and agreements
- Consult on overhead management

This position is 100% onsite at our Gladstone Plant.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
Our employees are key ingredients to our success, and you will be responsible for HR support to Gladstone site on topics such as talent management, labour relations, leadership development, employee engagement and change management. For people managers in the Gladstone plant, you will act as the point of contact for specific HR topics. You are a trusted partner and will drive the implementation of global strategies and initiatives across plants. You will be responsible for influencing business strategy for people-related issues.
Be our culture ambassador and play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing company-wide engagement and team events (e.g., offsites, in-person and virtual events) and other culture-building initiatives.
How you will contribute:
- Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders, understanding the supply chain impact of people decisions in order to fulfil business objectives, providing an outside-in lens (plant roadmap, people plan, factory of the future).
- Drive engagement on the plant culture agenda; coach leaders on the key cultural elements and organizational values - being the custodian of high performance work systems, and ensure an effective plant learning management.
- Partner with leadership teams on strategic priorities from workforce planning insights and decisions to talent acquisition, leadership development, early career programs, career pathing, succession planning and mobility, and strategic talent reviews.
- Leverage data analytics to drive solutions and decisions that translate into actionable plans to impact the bottom line and enable business strategy. Inform and update People Services of any local, legal and regulatory changes in market.
- Support plant leadership with effective management of time and attendance systems and attendance policies as necessary, coaching plant directors and plant leadership pillar in line with plant needs/KPI's - support performance calibration.
- Lead people process'/impact of any plant transformation with effective change management.
- Build end-to-end capabilities that accelerate consumer-centric growth and operational excellence
- Assist with the site labor relations strategy, including elements of communication and works council relations and compliance.
- Assist with labor relations efforts, including contract interpretation, grievance resolution, investigation and collaboration with union representatives to maintain a productive and respectful labor environment.
What you will bring:

- A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Labour Relations supporting investigations and other union matters is considered an asset.
- Proven track record as a trusted, credible business partner with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
- Experience working with Lean Six Sigma to drive high performance is considered an asset.
- HR leader with an active curiosity, insight orientation and external perspective about people and business performance
- Interpersonal savvy, planning, and dealing with ambiguity
- Future focused by thinking ahead and anticipating new opportunities, leverages an outside in perspective through understanding of market trends
Education & Certification:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or related field.
- CHRP or CHRL certified (or working toward) would be considered an asset.
- Core Competencies
- Strong judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to assess complex HR issues and implement practical solutions.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and integrity when managing confidential and sensitive HR matters.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build trust across all levels of the organization.
