What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will act as a true collaborator and coach for our colleagues and managers. Rather than just executing administrative tasks, you will have a high degree of ownership in guiding managers through complex employee relations, performance management, and local health and absence cases.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Manager Coaching & Advisory: Act as a trusted coach to guide managers through day-to-day leadership challenges, performance management, and team growth with empathy.

  • Absence & Case Management: Manage local long-term and short-term absence cases, ensuring full compliance with Dutch regulations (such as the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter).

  • Employee Relations: Cultivate a healthy work environment by using mature mediation and investigative skills to resolve complex employee relations and performance cases.

  • Local Implementation: Drive the local delivery and implementation of global people programs, collaborating closely with international Centres of Excellence to make them work for the Netherlands team.

  • Talent & Growth Support: Deep-dive into local business objectives to support local talent initiatives and solve practical organizational challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR Advisor or HR Generalist background with a track record of handling complex casework independently.

  • Legal Expertise: Strong, applied knowledge of Dutch labor law and practical experience managing Dutch absence laws/case management.

  • Language Skills: Native Dutch speaker with full professional fluency in English and excellent communication/coaching skills.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience managing human resources within the Belgium market or a strong curiosity for international markets.
• Prior experience operating effectively within a fast-paced, matrixed global organization.

Logistics Location: Bodegraven, Netherlands (On-site)

Travel Requirement: Minimal (0-10%)
