As our People Experience Manager, you will provide front-line leadership for a centralized HR Support Services team that serves as the primary point of contact for associate and people leader HR inquiries. This role focuses on daily operations, workload management, and associate support, ensuring timely and accurate inquiry resolution while reinforcing consistent application of policies, tools, and processes. The HR Manager will be focused on end-to-end inquiry resolutions and providing exemplary support to our associates and R1 People Leaders.

Here’s what you will experience working as a People Experience Manager:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching and guidance to team members. 
  • Support onboarding, training, and skill development of new and existing People Experience team members 
  • Oversee daily work queues, ticket distribution, and service-level adherence
  • Conduct regular, recurring one on one as well as group huddle interactions with direct reports
  • Partner with COEs and/or HR Directors or Managers to lead or support projects related to R1 strategic initiatives, or organizational changes.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and dashboards and prepare and present HR metrics to senior leadership.
  • Identify trends in inquiries and recurring issues; escalate insights and recommend and implement improvement opportunities. 
  • Support process standardization, documentation updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with associates and People Leaders at varying levels on objectives, progress, and status of escalated issues.
  • Oversee and coordinate offboarding administration activities, including distribution of separation materials and system updates.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance, storage, accuracy and confidentiality of electronic employee records, in compliance with record retention requirements, and data privacy standards. May include the integration and management of employee records associated with mergers and acquisitions and the digitization of historical paper files. 
  • Provide oversight of unemployment claims administration including partnership with a third-party unemployment claims vendor.
  • Implement resolutions and actions in collaboration with other COEs, HR Business Partners, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Participate in ad hoc HR projects as directed by HR Employee Services leadership.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership capability is required.  Leadership experience may include direct people management or other relevant forms of leadership (e.g., leading large projects or cross-functional team initiatives may be considered in lieu of formal supervisory experience).
  • Working knowledge of employment law
  • Experience identifying trends, performing root cause analysis and recommending process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and implement best practice approaches that deliver a consistent, high-quality people experience across a large diverse population
  • Prior experience handling employee relations matters, knowledge of State and Federal laws
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • High level of written and verbal communication and the ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to make decisions and seek resolution without direction
  • Proven relationship and consultancy skills with a range of business leaders
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Project management experience (e.g. work planning, resource sharing, coordinating administrative tasks for reductions in force)
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft office programs, AI, HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and HR ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred) including creating and maintaining dashboards and reports. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $65,000.00 - $116,747.20 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
