Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We're looking for a People & Culture Operations Advisor to join our People & Culture team in Auckland on a fixed-term basis through to March 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the next chapter of one of Beca's biggest people and technology transformations. We've recently launched Workday and Datapay across New Zealand and Australia, and we're now focused on embedding new ways of working and creating great experiences for our people.
If you're curious, love learning, and want hands-on experience with one of the world's leading enterprise people platforms, this role will give you exposure that's hard to find elsewhere. Workday is used by thousands of organisations globally, making it a highly sought-after skill set both in New Zealand and internationally.
As organisations increasingly rely on technology to deliver better employee experiences, make smarter decisions and streamline processes, professionals who understand both people and systems are in high demand. This role offers a unique opportunity to build those foundations early in your career.
Over six months, you'll gain practical experience in a technology-enabled profession, working alongside experienced People & Culture professionals while building in-demand skills that can open doors across HR, people operations, employee experience and HR technology.
You'll:
- Gain hands-on experience working with Workday in a live enterprise environment.
- Support leaders and employees across key moments in the employee lifecycle.
- Process employment changes, documentation and people-related activities with accuracy and care.
- Build your understanding of employment relations, people operations and digital HR practices.
- Help improve processes and find smarter ways of working.
- Collaborate with teams across New Zealand and Australia while building your professional network and capability.
Ko wai koe | About you

By the end of your time with us, you'll have:
- Experience working with a world-leading people platform.

- A strong foundation in a profession increasingly shaped by technology, data and automation.
