CIMIC Group is seeking a P&C Manager to join its People & Culture team. The key purpose of this role is to act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior business leaders on all people, culture and workforce matters, providing high-level counsel that enables the business to achieve its people, commercial and operational objectives.

This position translates business strategy into people strategy – advising executives and senior leaders on workforce planning, talent, organisational design, leadership effectiveness, culture, employment relations and change. The role focuses on shaping long-term people outcomes, anticipating workforce risks and opportunities, and elevating leadership capability across operational project teams, work winning and the broader client group.

About the Role

This role reports to the Principal P&C Business Partner, and key responsibilities include:

  • Build trusted relationships with project leaders, senior and operational leaders to co-develop people solutions that drive business performance.

  • Translate client group business strategy into actionable people plans, ensuring initiatives within the client group are commercially grounded and deliverable.

  • Provide clear, timely and pragmatic advice on workforce, culture and leadership challenges, enabling leaders to act with confidence.

  • Contribute to workforce planning activities including demand forecasting, resource mobilisation and capacity planning across the client groups.

  • Leverage workforce data; including turnover, absenteeism and engagement indicators to surface meaningful insights and inform business decisions.

  • Provide confident, well-reasoned advice on employee relations matters including performance management, conduct issues and workplace investigations.

 

About You – Qualifications & Experience

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.

 

In addition

  • Experience, with significant time spent in project HR management, senior business partnering or generalist HR roles within large, complex organisations.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven ability to link people strategy to business and project outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience operating as a P&C advisor to project and senior leadership teams.

  • Proven ability to influence, challenge and coach senior leaders, including on sensitive or complex people matters.

  • Deep expertise in workforce strategy, organisational design, talent and succession, culture and change.

  • Strong diagnostic, analytical and consulting skills – able to interpret people data and translate it into clear strategic recommendations.
