You act as a trusted advisor, balancing empathy with accountability, while navigating complex situations with clarity, discretion, and sound judgment.
This role is primarily based out of the Amer Sports Garching/Germany office and is open to hybrid remote work (2 days in the office, 2 days at home and 1 day at the discretion of the manager). Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU. Mid term we foresee the relocation of the role to Amsterdam/Netherlands.

The EMEA People & Culture team (Talent Acquisition, Retail Business partnership and Talent Development & Culture Activation) operates in close partnership with our business & people in region as well as the global People & Culture functions in Vancouver.
There is a strong emphasis on partnership, trust, collaboration and mutual support. The team works closely together- sharing knowledge, aligning efforts, and supporting one another - to continuously evolve our people practices and foster a culture of belonging and performance.
If you were the P&C Corporate Business Partner EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Serving as the main P&C point of contact for our corporate people leaders and employees.
- Partnering with EMEA leaders to align people strategy with our organizational and business goals.
- Advise and coach leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
- Identifying business and capability gaps and partnering with people leaders on solutions
- Fostering, nurturing and evolving relationships enable rapport, trust and influence throughout the company.
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues in partnership with the Amer Sports local HR Managers.
- Coaching leaders in employee relations which include career development, performance management, progressive discipline, and termination procedures when appropriate.
- Partnering on talent reviews and leadership capability building.
- Driving our performance management process (objective setting, reviews, calibration).
- Identifying and developing high-potential talent and succession pipelines.
- Supporting (career) development planning and internal mobility.
- Addressing performance issues with structured improvement plans.
- Ensuring relevant talent and leadership development tools and information for teams and employees are readily available, communicated, and understood – you champion personal development
- Partner closely with Global Talent Management to influence and shape programs and practices.
- In collaboration with EMEA talent development: Coaching managers on feedback, performance conversations, and team effectiveness.
- Ensuring the right level of talent by supporting recruitment and decision making for all corporate roles.
- Collaborating with TA function to ensure effective employer branding.
- Advising leaders on EMEA total rewards approach and strategy.
- Supporting and driving annual compensation cycles (merit increase, equity, bonuses, promotions).
- Helping shape EMEA total rewards strategy and practices through partnering with Global Total Rewards
- Partnering with specialists on job evaluations and grading structures.
- Ensuring competitive and equitable benefits offerings aligned with market trends.
- Monitoring and improving employee engagement through surveys (Peakon), listening sessions and action planning.
- Supporting inclusion, belonging, and well-being initiatives.
- Supporting organizational change initiatives (restructures, growth, transformation)
- Driving adoption of new programs, tools, and cultural shifts.
- Using people analytics (Power BI) to inform decisions, and support leaders in their decisions.
- Identifying trends and recommending proactive solutions.
- Tracking effectiveness of P&C programs and initiatives.

Are you our next P&C Corporate Business Partner EMEA?
- You have min 5 years experience in an HR Generalist or People & Culture Business Partner role within a fast-paced, consumer focused, international/European environment, ideally supporting corporate functions and working across several countries.
- You are fluent in German and in English. It is a plus if you know an additional European language.
- You have a good strategic and commercial acumen, and you quickly build an in depth understanding of the business, key processes, priorities and plans.
- You have the ability to connect people strategy to business priorities, translating insights into pragmatic, high-impact actions.
- You have expertise and experience in talent management. (incl. driving performance management, succession planning.)
- You have a solid knowledge of total rewards practices with experience in advising on compensation cycles.
- You have demonstrated the confidence to coach and challenge senior leaders, building trust while providing thoughtful, data-informed perspectives.
- You have deep employee relations expertise
- You are able to lead or support restructuring, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives in a matrixed environment.
- You have a data-driven mindset and have confidence in using people analytics (e.g., Power BI or similar tools) to generate insights, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- You have excellent communication and coaching skills, and you are skilled at delivering clear, empathetic, and impactful communication across all levels of the organization.
- You have a strong belief in partnership, with a track record of working collaboratively across people & culture teams and business functions, contributing to a culture of trust, support, and shared success.
- You have strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
