Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records and HR documentation across all systems (including HRIS), ensuring compliance with I-9, immigration, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives, including labor law postings, policy updates, audits, reporting, and coordination with Facilities to meet regulatory standards at HQ and Cambridge.
- Assist with onboarding for employees, including orientation coordination, I-9 verification, system setup, compliant documentation, and benefits enrollment.
- Manage contractor lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, end-date monitoring and renewals.
- Coordinate operational logistics such as IT and Facilities support requests, meeting and event setup, lease-car arrangements, and physical mail distribution.
- Maintain shared HR resources, guides, documentation libraries, and the organizational chart to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, open enrollment, and wellness programs while responding to employee inquiries via HR communication channels.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure timely processing by following up on outstanding timesheets and related documentation.
- Contribute to cross-functional and ad hoc People Team projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience providing HR administrative support.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience navigating and utilizing Workday systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of background check review processes and employment screening procedures.
