We are seeking an exceptional People Consultant to join our Strategic Partnering team within the broader People function. In this role, you’ll work closely with People Leaders and employees to provide practical, trusted HR advice and support that helps deliver strong outcomes for our people and the Bank.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that partners across the organisation, supporting leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams while navigating a range of people matters with confidence.
About the Role
This role will report to the HR People Partner supporting our corporate teams and will work closely with all functions across the People Team to create an employee experience that enables the RBA to attract and retain outstanding talent.
Responsibilities
Ensure HR strategy, policies and initiatives are successfully communicated and implemented at the department level and are aligned to the department and Bank strategy.
Identify, develop and deliver tailored HR solutions to departments, and provide advice and direction on people management issues. This includes providing guidance on performance management to leaders, upskilling and building capability.
Coach department leadership teams to deliver effective people management practices and enable individual and team performance for the achievement of current and future business objectives.
Provide HR data analytics, insights and analysis to the business, recognising trends and recommending appropriate action.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with leaders, acting as the central point of contact within HR.
Work with department leaders to solve problems and develop appropriate solutions to challenges. For example, supporting with the rolling out of a high reliability culture across departments.
Work with leaders to deliver HR BAU lifecycle activities.
Work with our internal People Department teams and department leaders with supporting organisational design and restructures.
Partner with the HR COEs and Shared Services to ensure alignment with business needs and HR strategy.
Identify, develop and implement strategic HR interventions that will have a positive impact on the Department and the Bank.
About you
You are a capable HR professional who brings sound judgement and a strong service mindset. You’re comfortable working with leaders and supporting a range of people matters in a structured environment.
You will bring:
Experience in an HR Advisory or generalist role with exposure to employee relations
Confidence supporting People Leaders and building trusted relationships
Strong understanding of HR policies, frameworks and employment obligations
The ability to balance policy with practical, people-centred outcomes
Clear communication skills and a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
