As a People Consultant, you will play a key role in turning NESO's People and Culture Strategy into meaningful action. Working alongside People Partners, Centres of Expertise, People Operations and business stakeholders, you will use workforce insight, organisational development expertise and project delivery skills to help implement people initiatives that strengthen organisational performance, workforce capability and colleague experience.

Combining analytical thinking, problem-solving and project delivery, you will use data, insight and evidence-based practice to diagnose organisational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver workforce planning, organisational development, organisational design and change initiatives across assigned business areas. You'll bring curiosity, pace and care to the role, working in partnership with others to support an inclusive, high-performing culture where colleagues feel connected to NESO's purpose.

This role can is based in Wokingham, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Supporting the delivery of People Plans by translating strategic priorities into practical people initiatives and measurable outcomes.

  • Building capability within the manager population through coaching, facilitation, organisational development interventions and support with people initiatives.

  • Analysing workforce data, colleague feedback and external insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing evidence-based recommendations.

  • Supporting workforce planning, organisational development and organisational effectiveness activities that build future capability and improve business performance.

  • Leading and delivering People and Organisational Development projects and workstreams alongside People Partners, ensuring successful implementation and measurable impact within their respective functions.

  • Identifying emerging people risks and issues, escalating complex matters to the relevant People Partner to ensure appropriate mitigation and minimise business risk.

  • Facilitating workshops, engagement activities and organisational development interventions that enhance capability, performance and colleague experience.

  • Building effective relationships across the People function, Centres of Expertise and business stakeholders to ensure joined-up delivery of people priorities.

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of people initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of people practices, tools and ways of working.

About You

We're looking for a skilled People professional who enjoys solving organisational challenges, using data to inform decisions and delivering practical solutions that improve business performance and colleague experience.

You'll bring:

  • Experience supporting the delivery of people initiatives across organisational development, workforce planning, change, organisational design or employee experience activities.

  • Sound understanding of HR practices, employment legislation and organisational effectiveness principles.

  • CIPD5 would be desirable.

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate findings into practical recommendations.

  • Experience managing projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Experience building trusted relationships with managers, supporting them to navigate organisational and people challenges and deliver positive business outcomes.

  • Experience facilitating workshops, engagement sessions or organisational development activity.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
